The 9th Annual Fire & Ice: A Gourmet Affair Latin Style was another great success, raising over $100,000 in support of the Josh Cares Child Life Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Josh Cares was co-founded by Systems Evolution, Inc. CEO Dan Pierce and his wife Lynn, along with SEI Consultant Ann Helfrich in memory of Ann’s son Josh, who tragically passed away in 2004.
“SEI and the Pierces have been the most instrumental forces driving the growth and success of Josh Cares since Day 1,” shares Josh Cares Executive Director Joy Blang. “Fire and Ice is one of the many ways they support Josh Cares.” This year’s event was presented by Brower Insurance, a Marsh & McLennan Agency and longtime trusted partner of SEI. SEI also served as a top level sponsor for the event which was held in the home of the Pierces.
Those in attendance enjoyed a magical excursion full of spice and flair! Greetings from friendly alpacas upon arrival, perusing beautiful Peruvian artwork throughout, enjoying the authentic Mexican guitarist in the courtyard, salsa dancing poolside, and relaxing over Cuban cigars in the grotto were some of the highlights of this memorable evening. With another Fire & Ice stamp added to their passport, guests are left only to wonder where they will be taken on next year’s journey.
