Katie Britton

Consultant  |  SEI Boston

Why SEI? What keeps you here?
During the interview process with SEI, I realized that I had a very unique opportunity in front of me. Every consultant I met with was just as excited about the work they did as they were about who they got to do it with. I knew instantly that this was a company I wanted to be a part of and haven’t looked back. At SEI I am able to leverage my professional background and apply it across many different industries. As consultants, we work closely with our clients to help them solve problems and implement technology solutions that drive their business. I am proud of the work we get to do and thrive on the continuous challenge; just as one project ends, another kicks off!

What are your business and technical skills?
My background is in IT Project Management, but in any given moment, SEIers are ready and able to step into a variety of roles to ensure client success. Over the course of my tenure at SEI, I’ve served as a Program Manager, Project Manager and Business Analyst, led efforts within Healthcare Organizations, Financial Institutions and Medical Device Manufacturers, managed vendor selections and technology implementations as well as change management and process improvement initiatives. This is what makes SEI an exciting place to work! And I get to do it alongside my amazingly talented and driven colleagues.

What is your favorite SEI moment or event?
One of my favorite SEI events is the Summer Party. It’s a lot fun and it’s a chance to spend time with the families of the SEI crew. It’s amazing to see how the SEI family continues to grow!

What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of SEI, I am passionate about raising money for breast cancer research. My mother lost her 13-year battle to the disease at the age of 51. During her battle with cancer she started a foundation called Friends Fighting Breast Cancer (FFBC). I am now President of the organization and am honored to continue the work my mother started. What has made this journey even more special is the support we’ve received from my SEI colleagues. They have been in attendance at our run/walks, private shopping events and we received a tremendous turnout from SEI at our Gala and Silent Action event. The people of SEI are always so quick to lend a hand and provide support. Since the inception of FFBC, we have raised over $1 million dollars to support breast cancer research efforts at a well-known Boston hospital.
