SEI ATL Comes Out in Force to Support One of Their Own

On November 1, Camp Horizon, an Atlanta area organization that supports abused and neglected kids in the foster care system, hosted their 3rd annual wine tasting and silent auction at the City Club of Buckhead.  I have had the privilege of holding a seat on this organization’s board of directors for the last several years.  As with any non-profit, fundraising is vital and SEI’s dedication to supporting its consultants and community resulted in a fun, meaningful, and successful event.

In support of me and, more importantly for the children who benefit from the camp’s services, SEI has played an integral part in providing both fundraising dollars and volunteer hours.  This event was no different.  Without hesitation, SEI leadership agreed to sponsor tickets for any consultant (and significant other) who wanted to attend.

With management taking this minor barrier of entry away, SEI consultants, always looking for an opportunity to make a difference, felt they could make a greater impact to the success of the event. Along with the other auction guests, SEI consultants raised funds for scholarships, supplies, and transportation to camp events by bidding on numerous silent auction items.  The event ended up being a huge success and raised over $25,000 for Camp Horizon!

Honestly, I’m no longer surprised by the extent to which SEI consultants are eager to support initiatives in which their colleagues are passionate about.  It’s just another example of why SEI is more than just a place to work.  It’s like a second family, there to help you be become a better person, both professionally and personally.
